Nassauer Hof in Idstein

We had originally been recommended the restaurant by a friend. We had already picked up food several times in the last few weeks, sometimes a classic like schnitzel, the other time an extremely tasty burger. This time we had tried the goose breast and a leg of goose, an absolute dream! Nowhere experienced such a delight for the palate, madness! 😊 Despite our somewhat longer journey, this restaurant can be recommended without reservation, an absolute hammer, try it out for yourself ... Keep it up, we will stay regulars for a long time.

After eating about 15 times (on site or currently being picked up) across the varied range of fine dishes (thanks to the weekly menu!), You can say: the boss can cook! A complete goose recently ordered: Great, everything. Sauce / red cabbage, dumplings and the goose itself too. Hope the Nassauer and his nice team will get through the Corona period relatively unscathed, so that you can finally eat on site again. And in spring and summer the farm beckons ... Always happy! I wish you good luck and success ...

We went to the Nassauer Hof for dinner tonight - and we really loved it. The ambience is very cozy, the service staff are consistently super friendly. The boss also came back to the table for a little chat. The map is clear - but this is not a minus - on the contrary! A small menu with home-style, Hessian dishes at very, very fair prices. In addition, a seasonal menu with autumn delicacies. Let's get to the star of the evening - the food. We had three different dishes - and all of them were extremely tasty. Super tasty, and so dimensioned that adult and well-eating men really get full. It was a great success and we'd love to come back!

First of all, the Nassauer Hof is not particularly inviting from the outside, it is also getting old on the inside and the website also required an overhaul. But: rarely experienced such a friendly and competent staff. The manageable menu is just right and thanks to a very good chef you can also deviate from the menu. The schnitzel was very good and the specially ordered grilled vegetables were outstanding. Even with the digestive schnapps, the glasses were iced. All around satisfied and we would love to come back.

Even fewer fried potatoes on the plate and it is a single fried potato. With the change to the new operator, some things have become a little more expensive. That would be too painful if the quality of the food had remained the same and the portions were as large as usual. Unfortunately, the portions have become significantly smaller. The spaetzle served today was unfortunately very tasteless. Too little salt, no real cheese taste. I will not stop by for a while and hope the pendulum settles in. It would be a shame to lose Nassauer as a place for good beer and decent food. But it can't stay that way!

Simply good. Highly recommended if you are not on Schickimicki, but good home cooking like.

Very cozy, easy atmosphere

Simple but very nice location

Cozy pub with attention to detail and nice service. A small stove warms the guests in the cold season. The food was fresh. We took the classic Frankfurt green sauce; once with Schnitzel and fried potatoes and once with eggs and boiled potatoes. For me, there was a vegetable pan with feta cheese. For dessert there was a mascarpone cream. When the terrace is ready, we will come back again!

Favorite village pub. Favorite restaurant. The Nassauer Hof can do both.

Classic village pub. Rather rustic. In the courtyard you actually sit quite nicely in the weather. The food is good, if not great. It's nice that there is still a eatery in such small towns.

Stayed with a larger group. Food was great, good selection of drinks, service very attentive. Gladly again.
